01 Scope of This Policy

This policy covers the Saathi mobile app (Android and iOS) and the related backend services used to run accounts, journeys, maps, and circle contacts you save. Saathi is provided by XcelAudit Technologies LLP. If you also visit a Saathi marketing website, that site itself does not create a journey or share your location; account, location, and circle data apply when you use the app.

Saathi is a personal safety companion. It is not a medical device, not a substitute for emergency services, and not a guarantee that help will arrive.

02 Information We Collect

Website (if you visit one): When you contact us, we receive the information you choose to share. Standard web server or hosting logs may collect technical data such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited.

App: Depending on how you use Saathi, we may collect:

• Account details: name, email, and a unique account ID, when you sign in with Google or (on iOS) Sign in with Apple
• Profile details you save: display name, Home and Office locations and labels
• Circle details you enter: name, phone, and email you save. Saathi stores these as contacts. It does not send an email invite and does not share their live location. If they already use Saathi with that email, they may get a quiet in-app heads-up on their device.
• Location: location while you use the app so Saathi can show you on your map and follow a journey you start; precise location while a journey is active, including in the background so that watch can continue if you leave the app; location you choose when saving Home, Office, or a destination; and your current position if you choose to send a map link through another app. Saathi does not publish a live pin to other accounts and does not keep sharing a live location for an hour.
• Motion sensors during an active journey only, as a heuristic for a sudden stop or jolt
• Journey and safety events: start/end times, last known coordinates for that journey, check-ins, and SOS or cancel events
• Diagnostics such as on-device product logs (for example journey started). We do not currently send these to an advertising or analytics SDK.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not access your full device contact book; we only store circle details you type or paste yourself.

03 How We Use Your Information

Your information is used to create and secure your account, show you on your map, watch a journey you start, offer a check-in on this device, save profile and circle contact details (including offline use and later sync), show maps and place search, send notifications you allow on this device, let you send a map link of your current location through an app you choose, place a call you start or open Phone for emergency services, let Saathi’s safety line call a number you saved if you ask for help or miss a check-in during a journey, provide support, process paid plans when you subscribe, and keep the service secure. We do not sell your personal data.

04 Location Data Handling

Location is used so Saathi can show you on your map and follow a journey you start. Saved Home, Office, and destination places use the location you choose.

While you use the app: If you have allowed location, Saathi can show your position on your map and follow a journey. Saathi does not share your pin with other Saathi accounts. People you save in Circle are contacts, not live pins.

Current location share: You can send a map link of your current position through another app you choose (for example Messages or WhatsApp). The link shows where you were when you sent it — a snapshot, not a live location that keeps updating for an hour.

In the background: Background location is requested only so a journey watch can continue if you leave the app. When no journey is active, Saathi does not use location to track you in the background.

A coarse location trail for an active journey is kept briefly (about two days), then it expires.

You can refuse location permission. You can still use much of the app without it; live journey watching and your map pin will not work.

Motion sensing, if allowed, runs only during an active journey. It can miss events and can false-trigger. A check-in is offered on this device first.

05 Sharing and Disclosure

We share data only as needed to run Saathi:

• Your circle: people you add are saved as contacts (name, phone, and email). Saathi does not send them an email invite, a live map of you, or a remote push. If they already use Saathi with that email, they may see a quiet in-app heads-up on their device. You can remove a contact. If you start SOS from Home, Saathi may open Phone for emergency services; it does not dispatch help. If you ask for help or miss a check-in during a journey, Saathi’s safety line may call a phone number you saved.
• A map link you send: if you choose Share location, Saathi builds a map link of your current position and you pick the app that sends it. Recipients see that snapshot. Saathi does not keep publishing a live location to them for an hour.
• Service providers: trusted vendors that host and operate the product, including Amazon Web Services (accounts, API, and storage), Google (sign-in, maps, and places), Apple (sign-in), RevenueCat with Apple or Google billing when you buy a paid plan, and Yandle when Saathi’s safety line places a call to a circle number you saved.
• Legal: we may disclose information if required by law or to protect someone’s safety.

We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for advertising.

06 Your Rights

You can edit your profile, manage your circle, stop a journey (which ends background location watch), and turn location, notifications, or motion off in device settings.

You can request correction or deletion of your personal information, subject to legal and operational requirements. In the app, Settings → Delete account permanently deletes your Saathi account, circle, journeys, and saved profile from our servers and wipes corresponding data on that device. Signing out does not delete your account.

07 Policy Updates

We may revise this policy periodically. Any material updates will be reflected on this page with the updated effective date.
