01 Agreement
These Terms of Use govern your use of the Saathi mobile app (Android and iOS), related backend services, and this website. Saathi is provided by XcelAudit Technologies LLP (“we”, “us”).
By creating an account, downloading the app, or using Saathi, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
02 The Service
Saathi is a personal safety companion. Depending on how you use it, it can:
- Show you on your map and follow a journey you start
- Offer a check-in on this device
- Store circle contacts you enter (name, phone, and email)
- Place a call you start, or open Phone for emergency services
- Let Saathi’s safety line call a number you saved if you ask for help or miss a check-in during a journey
- Save profile details such as a display name and Home or Office places
- Let you send a map link of your current location through an app you choose
Saathi does not send an email invite, does not share a live pin with other accounts, and does not send a remote push to people you save. If someone you save already uses Saathi with that email, they may get a quiet in-app heads-up. Circle people are contacts, not live pins. A map link you send is your current position at that moment, not a live location for an hour. Check-in prompts stay on this device.
We may change, suspend, or discontinue features. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation.
03 Your Account
You need an account to use most of the app. Sign-in is through Google or, on iOS, Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping access to that sign-in method secure.
You must be old enough to use the app under the laws of your country and the rules of the app store you download from. If you use Saathi for someone else, you confirm you have the right to do so.
Information you enter must be accurate enough for the feature to work. You decide which circle numbers or emails to save.
04 Safety and Emergencies
Saathi is not a medical device, not a substitute for emergency services, and not a guarantee that help will arrive. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services.
SOS from Home may open your phone’s dialer for emergency services (for example 112). Saathi does not dispatch help and does not contact emergency services on your behalf. If you ask for help or miss a check-in during a journey, Saathi’s safety line may call a phone number you saved. That is a phone call, not a remote push.
Motion sensing, if you allow it, runs only during an active journey. It can miss events and can false-trigger. A check-in is offered on this device first. You remain responsible for deciding when to call for help.
05 Location, Circle, and Permissions
Location is used so Saathi can show you on your map and follow a journey you start. Background location is requested only so a journey watch can continue if you leave the app. When no journey is active, Saathi does not use location to track you in the background.
You can send a map link of your current location through another app. That link is a snapshot of where you were when you sent it, not a live location that updates for an hour.
You can refuse location, notifications, or motion. Much of the app still works without location; live journey watching and your map pin will not.
Circle contacts are details you type or paste (name, phone, and email). Saathi does not read your full device contact book, does not send an email invite, and does not share those people’s live location. If they already use Saathi with that email, they may get a quiet in-app heads-up. You are responsible for having a lawful reason to store someone else’s name, phone, or email.
How we handle personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.
06 Paid Plans
Some features may require a paid plan. Purchases are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play billing, with subscription status managed through RevenueCat. Prices, plan names, and what is included are shown in the app at the time of purchase.
If a plan auto-renews, it continues until you cancel it in your Apple or Google account settings. Payment is charged to your store account. Cancellation usually takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds, billing disputes, and restore-purchase requests are handled under Apple or Google’s rules, not by a charge on this website.
Deleting your Saathi account does not automatically cancel a store subscription. Cancel the subscription in the store as well if you do not want further charges.
07 Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use Saathi to harm, stalk, threaten, or unlawfully monitor anyone
- Save another person’s details without a lawful basis
- Try to break, overload, or reverse-engineer the service, except as allowed by law
- Misrepresent who you are or interfere with another person’s account
- Use the app in a way that is illegal where you live
We may suspend or close an account if we reasonably believe these Terms have been broken or that continued use creates a safety or legal risk.
08 Intellectual Property
Saathi, including the name, logo, app, and site design, belongs to XcelAudit Technologies LLP or its licensors. These Terms give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive right to use the app for its intended purpose. They do not transfer ownership.
Maps, sign-in, billing, and safety-line calling are provided by third parties (including Google, Apple, Amazon Web Services, RevenueCat, and Yandle) under their own terms.
09 Disclaimers
Saathi is provided “as is.” We do not warrant that journeys will be watched without interruption, that a check-in will appear when you expect it, that a call will connect, that maps or location will be accurate, or that motion sensing will detect an incident.
Phone networks, GPS, device settings, battery, and permissions are outside our control. Features may be unavailable if you deny a permission, lose connectivity, or if a third-party service is down.
10 Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, XcelAudit Technologies LLP and its officers, employees, and contractors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of Saathi.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability for claims relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for Saathi in the 12 months before the claim, or INR 1,000. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence where such a limit is not allowed.
11 Ending the Service
You can stop using Saathi at any time. Signing out does not delete your account. In the app, Settings → Delete account permanently deletes your Saathi account, circle, journeys, and saved profile from our servers and wipes corresponding data on that device.
We may stop providing the service or close accounts with reasonable notice where practical, or immediately if required by law or to address abuse or a security risk.
Sections that by their nature should survive (including disclaimers, limitation of liability, intellectual property, and governing law) continue after the service ends.
12 Changes
We may revise these Terms. Material updates will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the app and delete your account.
13 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in India have jurisdiction over disputes, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.
